Multidisciplinary Artist - Fine Art and Graphic Design
Born in France, graduated from Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Maryvonne had a two year stint on scholarship in Greece, but most of her life she has been living and working in Japan. She has won several cultural awards in Europe and has annual shows in Japan and France. She works with acrylic paints and sometimes with watercolours which bare the instinctive strokes of the painters brush. The theme's of Maryvonne's pieces mostly revolve around the natural world, trees, water and landscapes are transformed by her specialized point of view. Married to a musician, the influences of music have molded her perspective on space and rhythm which manifests in her work.
She feels equally comfortable painting, graphic designing, working on stage performances, or simply transforming a vegetable case into a piece of furniture. For Maryvonne it is all just one and the same: creation, imagination, and if possible, fun.
